CAPRA Arte Colectivo is a space for transdisciplinary creation, in which theatre, music, design and audiovisual artists collaborate. Their works are characterised by their multi-sensorial proposals, in which politics and rituality are combined from a contemporary perspective. The group began its artistic work with the production of two stagings: Macbeth o el viaje del poder (2018) and Federico, todos los muertos (2019). After the mobility restrictions resulting from the pandemic, the work was directed towards the audiovisual format, generating Anatomía de una cabra (2020) and Federico, la luna ha desaparecido (2021). Later, with the return to the presential format, Seirén o el canto extraviado (2022) was produced; a play that combines the elements explored in the previous experiments such as design, music, performance, theatre, research, poetry and sound art.
Since the end of 2022 the co-direction team has been based in Portugal. Consequently ‘Imago Besta’, was realised in a residency at the Central Elétrica de Porto, and was presented at Ciclo Watts (2023). In 2024, they did ‘Eco dice/ Eco diz’, realised at the RAIA residency at Espaço Alkantara; ‘EcoMonstra’, residency at Teatro da Didascália; ‘Os fios da saudade’, residency at Chamusca; and ‘(In)Voca vol. I’ project realised at Theater Im Depot, Dortmund, a partnership with Cistifellea Collective, funded by ‘Cultures Moves Europe’.
