Federico, todos los muertos (Federico, all the dead) is a scenic map that deals with the transition to death of the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. Like a rite of passage, a dream, a phantasmagorical evocation, Federico “that one of the García’s, that one of the Lorca’s” lives the last hours of his life without clearly understanding the causes of his murder: family disputes linked to divergent political thoughts? discrimination because of his homosexuality? theatre as a battlefield?
In this journey, hope, the beatings of the oppressors and the songs are present in the weave of the fatal denouement. Federico, todos los muertos is presented as the funeral that the poet from Granada never had, where the theatrical experience as a rite manifests itself in the voice and body of the performers. This rituality is configured as a political space where Federico represents all those who have disappeared due to crimes against humanity.
