Cristian Aros Arancibia: is an actor, sound artist, and co-director of CAPRA Arte Colectivo. His career in the professional arts has been characterised by a constant pursuit of transdisciplinarity, which has enabled him to work in a variety of roles: performer, director, audiovisual director, sound designer, composer, guitarist and playwright. In Chile, between 2006 and 2022, he performed at the Teatro Nacional Chileno, Festival de Dramaturgia Nacional and Teatro UC, in projects supported by MINCAP arts funding, as well as taking part in numerous tours. As a director, he has staged productions at the Sala Jorge Díaz at the University of Finis Terrae, the Andrés Bello Archive at the University of Chile, the Teatro del Puente and the Teatro de la Universidad Mayor. His sound performance ‘Mi Vox’ was presented at the 4th PM Festival of Poetry and Music (#FPM) and at the exhibition ‘Singularidades sonoras’, funded by Ventanilla Abierta 2021. His band, La Cabra Voladora, received support from the 2020 MINCAP Music Fund for Creation. He has been living in Portugal since 2022. During this period, as a sound artist and performer, he has taken part in residencies and given performances at the Central Elétrica do Porto; at RAIA-CET / Espaço Alkantara; at Teatro da Didascália; at Jardins do Bombarda; and at Burrikornio da Bela Associação. Furthermore, he worked as a performer and co-creator on “(In)Voca vol. I” at Theater Im Depot, Dortmund, a collaboration between CAPRA and Cistifellea Collective funded by Culture Moves Europe and Stadt Dortmund – Kulturbüro. Additionally, he created the sound design for the video-poem “Toda la parte por el todo”, screened at Nudo-Festival de poesía desatada, Barcelona (2024), and the live sound art for the sound poem “Petropolifonías Telúricas”, presented at Versódromo Lisboa (2025) and Espaço Porta Jazz – IV ILCML-FLUP Poetry and Performance Conference, Porto (2026). In 2025, he presented his final master’s project, entitled “Cuerpos en traslación” (Bodies in Translation), an interactive sound installation on the theme of migration, at Burrikornio, a venue run by A Bela Associação, Almada. Cristian completed his theatre studies at PUC-Chile in 2008 and his Master’s in Sound Art at the University of Barcelona in 2025.

 

Soledad Figueroa Rodríguez: is an artist and transdisciplinary researcher. Co-director of CAPRA Arte Colectivo. Her artistic research explores the intersection between poetry and expanded voice, from a compostist and counter-hegemonic perspective. In the field of voice, she has taken classes in Classical Singing with Magdalena Amenábar; Roy Hart Voicework with Daniela García, Linda Wise and Enrique Pardo of the Pantheatre; Fitzmaurice voicework with Micha Espinosa; songs of tradition with Thomas Richards and Jerzy Grotowski’s Workcentre; trans-synthetic vocal techniques with Carincur, Zabra; extended vocal techniques with Ece Canli; as well as others. She was a singer in Magreb and La Cabra Voladora, and an actress and director in projects presented at the Teatro del Puente, Teatro U. Mayor, Parque Cultural de Valparaíso, Taller siglo XX, Festival Internacional Santiago Off, and Findatz, some of which were funded by arts grants from MINCAP. She has undertaken artistic residencies at Central Elétrica; Teatro da Didascália; A Bela Associação; Jardins de Bombarda (directed by Ece Canli); Artistas del Acero, RAIA-CET in partnership with Espaço Alkantara; Theater Im Depot, Dortmund, a collaboration between CAPRA and Cistifellea funded by Culture Moves Europe and Stadt Dortmund – Kulturbüro.  She has presented her research at international conferences such as EASTAP, PSI, VASTA, etc. as well as publishing in specialist journals such as ‘Apuntes de Teatro’ (Chile) and ‘Sinais de Cena’ (Portugal); and co-authoring books on theatre and performance.  In 2020, her short play ‘La cosa’ was one of the winners of the Teatro Nacional Chileno’s playwriting award. Furthermore, some of her poems have won awards, whilst others have been presented as video poems at the Nudo Festival in Barcelona; and as sound poetry at the Versódromo in Lisbon and Espaço Porta Jazz – IV ILCML-FLUP Poetry and Performance Conference in Porto. Soledad has been teaching voice, singing and theory at various theatre schools and universities in Chile since 2013. She is an actress and holds a Master of Arts degree with a specialisation in Theatre Studies and Practice (PUC-Chile). Soledad currently lives in Portugal and is a PhD candidate in Theatre and Performance Studies (U.Lisbon) and a FCT doctoral scholarship holder.
